Such a clique, it is a joke, but maybe we are taking ourselves too seriously. Maybe we are taking medieval nunneries too seriously.
Recent reading has demonstrated that life in nunneries during the 14th, 15th and early 16th centuries was rather pleasant. Being secular as it was religious, rich and diverse rather than self-denying and narrow.
